Tips. If you submit a tip via our "Got a tip?" form, we store the content of your submission and your contact email if provided. Tips are visible only to our editorial team.
Usage data. We do not run our own analytics. We may receive aggregated traffic data through our hosting provider (Vercel). We do not track individual users across sessions.
Cookies. We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use your data
We use your data to operate the platform — to authenticate your account, display your comments, and contact you if you submitted a tip with a return email. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the site.
Who we share data with
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and content is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
Vercel — our hosting provider. Your requests pass through Vercel's servers.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party beyond what is necessary to operate the services above.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile and comments are deleted from our database. Some residual data may remain in backups for up to 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Children
InternetBackstage is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
